MyMail Common Problems

1. I cannot log in.
If you get an error or PHP returns a IMAP_CONNECT response then you need to check your user
and pass. Be sure that it matches the way it is on the mailserver. For instance, if your
mailserver is setup to authenticate as me@domain.net then you need to enter me@domain.net for the username. If it's set to authenticate as simply me without the @domain.net then enter me as the username.

2. When I try to log in nothing happens or I get an error.
Make sure YOU HAVE A MAILSERVER running on the same IP address or hostname as MyMail .
MyMail does not work with remote servers!

3. Where does MyMail connect ?
MyMail connects to port 110 . If the mailserver is running on a different port then you will need to either change the code or email us for help.

4. MyMail does not delete my messages.
If MyMail is not deleting your messages then make sure you are running an RFC compliant mailserver such as Postfix, Qmail, or Visnetic M
ailserver.

5. Problem with attachments.
MyMail's default filename is download.php for downloading. However, in windows the type matches the type of the attachment such as .pdf will match with Adobe Acrobat Document. A quick fix for this is to rename the file to whatever.pdf in the file name field of the download box. The problem may or may not occur for you however if it does just follow this step.
