IMAGES
One of the best features of Agent-See is the ability to add images WITHOUT the need for complex software.

The image can be scanned or transferred from a digital camera, but there are a few safeguards in place that you need to be aware of before you can do this.

IMAGE SIZE (READ THIS BIT)
The Max Size (Default setting) in Agent-See is 40K! This may seem small but Please bear in mind that many people will be viewing your site over a slow connection! Most images from digital cameras and scanners will be MUCH bigger that this initially!

You need to Crop and Compress the image BEFORE you try to upload it

FORMAT (AND THIS)
Agent-See will ONLY accept JPG files for upload this is because jpegs are the best format for photographic images on the Web (due to bandwidth limitations) There are many tools out there which will enable you to Crop and Compress your image; The GIMP is available for FREE from the Bright Banana Website and is more than capable for our needs! A guide to cropping, scaling and exporting images with the GIMP can be found here.

An image of 400X300 and compressed at 80% will give good results, but please don't go to mad with the compression, as this will give "blocky" images.

UPLOADING
This is the easy bit! The property you have just created will now be in your agent admin area and you can add an image to it by clicking MODIFY LISTING.

All the details you entered for this property are listed here and you can also amend them, but we are going to add and image now so scroll to the bottom of the property details and you will see a new bit that is headed Manage Images.

This is where you upload an image of the property. . .

Click BROWSE
Now navigate to the image file you wish to upload this could be in C:\mydocuments\images\ for example.

Double click the file (or select open) and the details are entered into the field. You then need to enter in the TITLE field a brief description of the image (spacious dinning room). The click on UPLOAD and after a few seconds the image should be saved and you will see a message telling you that the upload has been successful.

PROBLEMS
Image uploading issues are frequently caused by trying to upload a file that is too big and or the wrong file type, please see above.

We are aware of issues affecting users of Opera and we are currently working on a fix for this.

DELETING LISTINGS
Once you have sold your clients property it will be necessary to remove it from your listings. To do this, Log in to your agent area by clicking on "Agent Log in" and you will see a list of all your properties, select the one you wish to delete and click on the delete link. You will be asked to confirm this and if this is correct click OK. The listing has now been removed!

LOGGING OUT
Once you have finished adding, modifying or deleting listings you should log out of the Agent Area; you can do this by clicking on the (Log Out) Icon.
