REQUIREMENTS:

YAPPA requires PHP 4.0 or later and ImageMagick's "convert" utility.
You can find ImageMagick at http://www.imagemagick.org/

INSTALLATION:

* untar yappa.tar under your document root (e.g. /usr/local/apache/htdocs/yappa-1.0/)
  ... and rename it into a more funny name .oO( /usr/local/apache/htdocs/yappa/ ) :-)

* create a photos/ directory in it: it will contain all of your albums.
  (e.g. /usr/local/apache/htdocs/yappa/photos/)

* upload your pictures. You will group them in "albums", that is to say in separate
  directories. (e.g. /usr/local/apache/htdocs/yappa/photos/rome-2000/). You can
  make as many of these directories as you like. Check the permissions and make sure
  that the web server is able to write in these directories.

* edit config.inc.php to suit your needs. You will need to make sure that the "photo_root"
  variable is set to the URI of the directory that contains your albums.
  For example I've got my albums under /usr/local/apache/htdocs/yappa/photos that is
  mapped to the URL http://www.mysite.com/yappa/photos, so the URI for this directory is
  /yappa/photos

* just point your browser at the directory you've created in the first step and enjoy :)
  (e.g. http://www.mysite.com/yappa/)
